To the Editor: After news of another assault allegation involving a footballer, I am appalled that Mater Dei still seems to allow this kind of beating and brutality. it goes on and on.

Is it possible that, thanks to the power of the Catholic Church, the school was able to continue to cover up this misbehavior? I was surprised that the lawyer of the Diocese of Orange said it was not a crime because the child did not confirm the social club.
Listen carefully, parents: these young people will forever remain terrified of such violence. I am a former high school teacher and I am not happy that this behavior continues.
To the editor: Is there a grain of truth in the story that Mater Dei High School changed its name to "Our Lady With the Cruel Right Hand"?
It is very disturbing to see what is happening in this school. There is a definite lack of discipline and integrity in the athletics department and it has long been necessary to fire head football coach Bruce Rollinson. His win-at-all-costs approach is definitely not a favorite of student-athletes.

If Rollinson can't explain what's going on in the locker room, find someone who can give proper instructions and protect the students.
To Editor: Shut down Mater Dei now or suspend all sports programming for next year.
Then Rollinson disappeared. It seems that the man is more interested in the next football championship than his young players.
There is a rot in Mater Dei that will not end until the house is completely cleaned with a full explanation of what years of misconduct can be.
